Insights Into Abba

Waiting

Waiting, what an absolutely detestable word!!! Well at least in my opinion. Have you ever had anyone say to you soon this or soon that?? Immediately I think,”Well, Jesus said he would be coming back soon!!!” Then I think, “Well, it’s been two thousand years already and soon has not happened yet!”

Sometimes I can be really impatient. I want it now; no, I wanted it yesterday! I hear this echo in my head often, but don’t worry Abba always corrects me!! Without fail!! If I always got what I think I want, I would be in a heap of trouble. I would be unprepared, overwhelmed and caught off guard.

I see now that the times I have to wait are for a purpose and for my best interest. It is not a foreign concept. Scriptures mention waiting often enough. They that wait upon the Lord will renew their strength. That’s a powerful one!!

Isaiah 40:31: But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

It’s like I feel like I’m always waiting and then I look back and see that I’m always growing while I am waiting. If it were up to me I would never wait and then I would never grow. This is really sad on my part. I really am working on being better about waiting.

Sometimes to me it’s like waiting for a bullet to be removed from my body, sometimes you can die if its pulled out and the proper tools are not available at the moment it is removed. You see, though it may be lifesaving to wait to remove it, it can really hurt while you are waiting. In your flesh the instinct is to remove the cause of the pain immediately.

Well the thing is that we really need to be more supernaturally minded and walk in the Spirit and not in the flesh. This is foreign to the flesh and can even cause a little mini war between the flesh and the Spirit. I know this war all too well. In the end we are given the tools to win this war and overcome the flesh and walk in the light!!

Galations 5:16: But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh.

This is so true!!

We are asked to do this for a powerful reason. Love!!! I am learning that to love one another is a powerful force!!

Ephesians 5:2: and walk in love, just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma.

You see none of this is really about us at all. It is all about loving and being obedient to Abba. We are so powerful when we walk in love and in the Spirit.

1 Thes 2:12: so that you would walk in a manner worthy of the God who calls you into His own kingdom and glory.

We have been called according to God’s purposes.

Romans 8:28: And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.

Do you see this amazing way of life!! It is Abba’s plan to make everything work out for our own good and our own blessings!! We only have to die to our selfish way of living and embrace truth and life!! At first when the seed is dying it seems tragic, but then when the new little sprout emerges and grows and grows and grows, it begins to see how much better and greater this new emergence is.

Galatians 2:20: I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.

Ephesians 4:22-24: that, in reference to your former manner of life, you lay aside the old self, which is being corrupted in accordance with the lusts of deceit, and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth.

The bottom line is this, while we are in this plane of existence, while we are in time and space, we must experience time and wait. The most awesome thing about this waiting is that it has a glorious ending when the Spirit of the living God is empowering you and teaching you and protecting you. There is no losing in this place, only gain and victory.

So remember when you have to wait for what feels like an eternity that there is no wasting of time and there are very good things growing within your soul that will help you accomplish the plans of God, to accomplish your destiny!

Jeremiah 29:11: “For I know the plans that I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.”

You are in the best hands possible if it is the Living God in whom you trust. Have faith and believe that while you are waiting, the best possible you is being formed and developed. This best possible you is what is best for the Kingdom of God, which is now!!

We have much work to do and we exist in a world where the harvest is ready and the workers are few.

Luke 10:2: And He was saying to them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”

Be inspired this day to rise up in great power and authority by the name of Yahshua to fulfill your destiny as unto the Lord!

Waiting is actually a blessing for all of us. It is a perfectly lovely gift. Embrace your time of waiting and rest therein, much work is coming and we must be ready!! Take the time to breathe it in and experience it. Smell the rose while you are sitting there waiting.

Take the memory with you, because there will be a time when you are moving so fast that you will want to sit and wait quietly by that beautiful rose and smell it and feel the sun.

Everything in its season.

Ecclesiastes 3:1: There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every event under heaven

To embrace each moment and learn and be revitalized will in the end empower you and me!!

What we wait for is amazing!!!!

  1. Loved it ! Patience is the hardest to overcome, but it is God’s timing and God’s will in whatever happens in our lives. We must put all our trust in Jesus, He is the way, the truth, and the life in everything we do. Give all the Glory to God!!
