The sweet gentle gaze
Her first day of life
Swaddled with tears of Joy
Only warmth and love, no strife
The warm milk flows across her lips
Kneading her mama’s breast
She gazes into her eyes yet again
She drifts off to dreamland and rest
Her first steps, her first fall
What is this pain?
She smells familiarity
Comforted, safe; love is her refrain
Growing forever growing
She sees anger, rage
Her heart breaks and weeps
This is so foreign to her heart; she turns the page
Complexity replaces simple love
Confusion replaces her comfort
This world is not safe
Shame, guilt and sorrow begin her retort
I’m never enough
What have I become?
Is there any hope left at all?
I can’t be from here, where did I come from?
Lies, lies and more lies
Deception, sorrow and grief
A broken heart and shattered dreams
Nothing is as it seems, where O where is my relief?
Mercy, please have mercy
There is nothing left
Where is the love I thought I once knew?
I run and hide In the cleft
Angels come and minister
His Spirit speaks to her soul
Love is real He says
Don’t use your senses to know and I’ll make you whole
He picks up all the shattered pieces with gentleness and Love
Watch me move away this mountain
Look only to me
Joy springs up from her fountain
I’ve given you a gift born out of my love
It grew and manifested
Loneliness and darkness are required
To challenge that seed that was once dead
For out of the dying comes new life
Out of rejection and loss
Comes real true love
Now Father has cut off that albatross
Renewal change and growth
For everything that left her presence
Made room for her to spread her wings
Her energy soared with such resonance
She has now become her destiny
With much understanding and power
This graceful warrior realized
Twas the darkness all along she needed to devour
This was only possible
Because Abba Father
Sent His son out of love
To bear it all and save her forever and ever!!!
She was born of destiny
She had to choose to walk in obedience
She had to have Faith and humility
She now stands in His presence
