I was reading in my book today and I felt inclined to share a few things with you all. It has been by far, the strangest season of my life. I mean really, doesn’t it seem like we are living in some twilight zone novel?
Before all of “this” I was starting to get myself back on track. I wanted to reevaluate my everyday life and get a functional healthy routine going again. I was really excited about it. Then all of this and that started going on and to be honest, it really pulled the carpet out from under me and all my “big” plans.
I had things I was going to build for my baby plants, I was going to save up and buy a super nice dehydrator etc etc etc. Well in a blink the biggest headline was no toilet paper and all my priorities changed based on survival and availability. Every time I would drive to work it felt like a Sunday morning and places with extreme traffic were like ghost towns. Deep inside of me though, I feel this incredible sense of peace.
Today I was reading about how messy life can be and that every single person on earth is going through something deep within. It may look or feel differently for each of you, but none the less It exists.
I was challenged by the Author that we should always be kind to each other cause you really never know whats truly going on inside of another person. This really is Mercy. To come along side of others with compassion and love. To help them through the very moment of their life they are currently striving in.
Sometimes all another person needs is to know they are loved and cared for and that you are there for them. Even if you can’t just throw your arms around them cause you are miles away, you can always help hold them spiritually.
I was reminded time and time again that EVERYONE is going through something inside!!! Sometimes it is hard to get out of our seats and do things. I know that in this time when we are stuck inside of an unknown routine with many limits, but the question still came to me. How can I show people I love them and that I am there for them? That I am willing to battle with them in whatever capacity they want and that no matter what their battle is, I will not reject or judge them.
Mercy is an amazing expression of Love that comes only from Father!! It is a place that understands and reaches out a hand instead of a fist. Remember this the next time you feel you have to deal with someone or when you have to wait in a very long crazy line. Maybe you will think of this the next time someone is rude to you or even rejects you. God is love always!!
I also am reminded of how I am still responsible for my behavior, regardless of how I am treated. I will never want to drop my standards just cause I am near someone else whose standards are not the same as mine. I really don’t care If I appear weak or soft. I never want someone else to be in control of my actions. Cause if I do stoop down to their level, that is exactly what I am doing. I am letting that person have control over my actions. I only want the Holy Spirit to be in control of my actions and no one else, not even me……

Keeping all of this in mind, I challenge you to try to figure out, in this strange world, ways you can reach out to others and show them love. You can turn your boredom into amazing love, where you are creating amazing memories. Hang on to hope and know that you are loved. God has all of this in hand!!
